Dan Bailey PGA Golf Professional
Dan is an established Golf Coach and has had great success in coaching all sorts of golfers at all levels. His approach takes in the whole game including Psychology, Sports Science, Club Technology, Course Management, Swing Mechanics and Top Teaching Methods used by all the great teachers. Dan was fortunate enough to turn professional off of a scratch (0) handicap at the age of 21 after a promising amateur career with the help of David Ridley, European Tour Coach. As an amateur he was a member of three different Leicestershire Golf Clubs, Kirby Muxloe, Cosby and Forest Hill and this allowed him to play his way into the county scratch league with enough success to get noticed by the UK's most successful amateur Gary Wolstenholme who propelled him onto the Leicestershire and Rutland County Scene. At the age of 14 playing off of a 5 handicap Dan was picked to play for the Leicestershire County Boys Team and by the age of 21 he had played his way through the youth, second team all the way through to the first team. At this successful time he was offered an Assistant Pro position at Forest Hill Golf Club with the opportunity to carry out his three-year PGA Diploma, or Foundation Course as it is now known, turning professional in the process, which had always been his dream. Having then been given the opportunity to add a string to his bow and given the 'Club Professional' role at nearby Melton Mowbray Golf Club he honed his business skills by running the golf shop as well as taught golf full time. Now back at Lutterworth GC, the place he calls home, intends to utilise these new skills in his new role. After 15 successful seasons playing the game professionally and winning tournaments he is also now concentrating on others reaching their golfing potential.
